I had plastic surgery or treatment at a Korean hospital, but it seems to be a medical accident and i got side effect. What should i do?

In Korea, there is a separate institution to deal only with medical disputes. The institution even covers medical accidents for foreigners.

If it is determined that you have suffered a medical accident and you wish to request a resolution to the above institution, you must first request the hospital for all the details of your treatment. Then you have to fill out an application stating that the treatment was wrong.

When you applied, based on the document you submitted, your situation at a meething consisting of 2 medical person, 2 lawyers, 1 consumer group or 2 lawyers, 1 medical person, 1 consumer group, 1 university will be determined. This organization will determine whether your situation constitutes a medical accident.



If it is determined that your situation is not a medical acciden, or even if the hospital dose not accept the result of a medical accident, you can file a lawsuit with the court and receive a judgment. There is no need to worry as all procedures do not discriminate because of being a foreihner.

Finally, you should keep in mind that medical accidents require a lot of time and evidence. Also you need someone else to help you through the legal process. This procedure will cost less than treatment for permanent bodily damage.

So i recommend that you use the legal process unconditionally.
